Pretty good episode over all. I liked seeing Sam back and having him clean up his mistakes. Otherwise… not a whole lot to talk about.
Pluses to the episode for showing that it’s usually wise to do the right thing even when it may not seem like the right thing to do.
It was also nice to see some hint (finally) about why Grandpa has been so cold towards the boys. Since he spent a year with jerk!Sam and probably thought Dean was a lot like him, some of his actions are now more understandable.
A standard episode (which is a bit of a step up this season).
